Forensic Services
Bridging mental health and the justice system to support positive outcomes
Specialized mental health services
Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are disproportionately represented at every stage of the criminal justice system. According to Bureau of Justice Statistics data analyzed by Sarrett (2021), approximately 760,000 incarcerated individuals have a disability, including an estimated 550,000 with IDD.
To address this disparity, Empowering Integrated Care Solutions partners with specialty court programs and local courts to provide an alternative to incarceration through coordinated mental health services.
Case Management
This program supports individuals on probation or parole in developing the skills and resources needed to remain successfully in the community as healthy, productive community members while reducing the risk of re-entering the criminal justice system.
Case management may include:
- Connection to essential resources such as benefits, entitlements, housing, and food assistance
- Skill-building to address mental health needs and reduce behaviors that may contribute to re-offending
- Coordination with probation officers and court personnel to support successful completion of court and probation requirement
